In this film we visit famous pigeon vets who are performing at the highest level with their own pigeons. They know how to match medical treatment with results.
The now late Dr. Jaap Stam, the famous University of Utrecht vet and racer of Klak pigeons and his best student and successor, Hans van der Sluis, the veterinary advisor to the Dutch National Pigeon Organisation.
With these two knowledgeable gentlemen we explore: Medication, diseases (canker, trichomonasis, e-coli, parathyphus), feeding, supplements, preparing your pigeons for the season and what to do before and during the season. We discuss new diseases and the usefulness and nonsense of medicines. Also shown are examinations (with and without microscopes) and small operations.
